Some mono prints inspired by the book 'A Monster Calls'  Illustrations by Jim Kay http://www.jimkay.co.uk/


These prints were created in 2 lessons by pupils ages 11.

I will be posting some films of how I did it, but in summary; the first lesson they created textures with black ink, and the second lesson they worked on top of these textures with a brush and black ink.  The school is surrounded by forests, so there was lots of inspiration.  I would like to use the prints to illustrate a book of their poems or stories.
